Canvas and this site
Submit all graded work on Canvas. Canvas also has your grades and the licensed cases.
The problem-set workbenches, assignment PDFs, and templates are on this site — see Problem Sets. Complete the work here, then upload it to Canvas.
Policies
Participation (45 points)
Based on in-class contribution (especially case discussions), attendance, and short in-class polls on your phone or laptop (~15 of the 45 points). Each poll runs during your section; submitting it marks you present. Scan the QR on the slide, or open the poll page. Name tents are required. Polls are graded for completion, not correctness.
Laptop and tablet use
Tablets are permitted for notes and following lecture materials. Laptops may be used only in the back rows, with one exception: Monday, September 28 — AI-assisted forecasting workshop; laptops with Excel required throughout the room.
Use of AI
AI tools are required on Problem Set 2 and welcome as study aids. Every number you submit must be yours — if you cannot reproduce and defend it, do not submit it. The final exam is closed book and tests this material without AI.
Final exam
Closed book; one handwritten cheat sheet (8.5×11, double-sided). Friday, October 16, 5:30–8:30 pm, Evans Hall 4400 and 4410 (all sections).
